A change was made to #06Advisor INCLTOP processing for schools who might have more than one advisor assigned to a student to allow all active advisors to print. At the same time, we changed #06 to #AV to use a more meaningful naming convention. Instructions about the #AV Advisor change are located here (.pdf).7/21/08
In web audit processing (when run by the student in the web portal), because of the way we had processing set up in the driver program, the student received articulations for all their coursework entered in Joe Cool, even if that coursework has not yet been 'officially' evaluated and posted to Joe Cool by the TA encoder.A change has been made to the driver, so that web audit processing no longer performs any articulation functions. Transfer courses must be articulated and saved to Joe Cool in DARwin before they will appear on a student's web audit.

Users had requested that we add a date display to the #20# INCLTOP so that students and staff would see exactly when the tests were taken. This will now work and requires no change on your part.Another piece of functionality related to #20# allows you to choose which tests to display. Previously it was all or nothing. If you want to use this functionality, please see the revised instructions.

A number of institutions use the #TS and/or #PL functionality in their INCLTOP requirements to tell students exactly what courses to take based on their test scores by setting courses and/or system condition codes.Because a number of campuses have experienced changes in the cut scores for various tests, the user enhancement request related to this also involves the date the test was taken. The enhancement allows the encoder to enter date ranges as a parameter in the INCLTOP line that assigns courses and/or condition codes.

Revised documentation for Reject Flags in Transfer has been posted here (.pdf). This documentation details the use of Reject Flags to reject courses from their original identity or goal area in order to be accepted into the transfer institutions goal area(s). Clarification for entering Reject lines before Accept lines that are "lists" (Match control = < L >) has been added.3/6/08
An updated version of the CAS Glossary of Terms (CAS 4.0 terminology) has been posted and can be found here (.pdf). This glossary of terms is a compilation of commonly used CAS terminology. It was established as a guide for campus staff interacting with CAS users and for the general public.3/5/08

New MnSCU Curriculum Updates for Academic Year 2007-2008 are now available. You can request inserts for all new MnSCU courses (more than 2200 courses) or request inserts for the new MnTC courses (276 courses). The MnSCU course insert form can be found here (.pdf). Accepting MnTC courses with "D" grades, when your institution provisionally, or normally does not, accept D grades, has been posted here (.pdf). The process requires a course condition code on the rules in your MnSCU Transfer Articulation tables. Please note that the DARS Team may be able to insert the course condition code into your TA tables.2/4/08

Documentation has been added here (.pdf) to outline the steps for encoding a requirement in order to report on the Degree Audit the percentage of successfully completed home courses. This documentation was created in response to a campus request to respond to a new MnSCU policy, effective fall 2007, which requires institutions to monitor percent completion as part of Satisfactory Academic Progress.
