DARS Training
DARS basic encoding training sessions have taken place since October, 1999 in St. Paul. The primary trainer has been Margo Mueller from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Mueller has had extensive DARS training, and years of DARS encoding experience at the University. Her knowledge and training style has been positively received by the participants from all MnSCU colleges.
DARS transfer articulation training sessions have taken place since July, 2000 in St. Paul. Don Meyers from Miami University of Ohio conducted the first session, and Margo Mueller with assistance of MnSCU staff has conducted subsequent sessions.
Other DARS training is periodically held, such as Interactive Audit training, Exceptions training, and advanced methods training and has been provided by MnSCU staff and others.
Third Wednesdays/Thursdays Open Lab will focus on specific training needs identified by those who sign up to attend, including topics such as: Exceptions, Condition Codes, Updating new programs, Non?collegiate transfer encoding, home?to?home articulation, and reject flags/waiving goals areas/gen eds. A significant portion of the day will be reserved for open lab work with DARS support staff available to assist.
