Exceptions descriptions and examples
Degree Audits apply the program requirements consistently to all students within the program. Using the Exception Process in DARS, requirements may be defined specifically to a student?s needs in a particular program. The student?s needs are agreed upon by the student and the advisor, or as the result of an official request to an academic Dean. For every rule, there is a possible student exception, but most institutions define the types of exceptions they will permit for their students.
