Subject: Retirement
Hi Gang,
It is about 3:30 in the morning, and I am ready for another day. I have
just
looked at the CD with the pictures of the party. You know, maybe I should
check into working at Home Depot - I kind of fit the profile of someone
that
should be wearing such apparel.
Thank you for the
retirement party. I know that these things take a lot of
preparation and work. It is one of those events that I will always remember.
The gift certificate at Home Depot will be put to good use - I was just
at
Home Depot a couple of days ago getting some plumbing items. The custom
made
card is wonderful - one of a kind. Cake was delicious - old Sam makes
some
pretty good cake. The CD with pictures is really a nice remembrance. Ties
I
can use - although I hope I do not need to wear them too much - that means
either work or funerals - at my age I do not need to attend very many
weddings. The "gold" watch will be a bit of a challenge - so
many little
buttons and settings. I hesitate to start mentioning too many individual
items because it is so easy to miss some of them.
Work may end with
retirement, but friendships endure as long as we live. As
I have often said before, I value people and friendships. So, I won't
be a
stranger - occasionally I will stop by or shoot you folks an email. Take
care. Larry.
