Training/Presentation
reports
The
DARS team conducted Encoding training June 1-3,
2004. 12 individuals attended from 5
institutions.
Transfer Articulation training was conducted July 13 & 14th (two day session) with 20 individuals from 8 institutions.
Third Thursday and Friday labs were open in June, July, and September, with 68 attendees from 18 institutions. Topics presented were: Reserved Condition Codes, Tech Prep with DARS, Preparing for CAS, DARwin 3.5.1 and the Interactive Audit. Due to the normal frenetic pace of activity on the campuses in August, we will no longer schedule August Third Thursday and Friday lab days.
An invitation from BSU and Michelle Frenzel, provides opportunity to replicate the Third Thursday format in a different location. The first DARS Up-North open lab will be Dec. 2, 2004. If interest and feedback is positive, additional open labs will be available in Bemidji. The User Group recommends open lab sessions in other locations.
Individual lab sessions, at ETC, were attended by 14 individual attendees from 7 institutions.
CAS training for Administrators, presented Sept. 9, for 5 attendees from 4 institutions. Future CAS training to Administrators will be Oct. 28, Nov. 30, and Dec. 17.
